Ethnic and barter beads necklace with antique finish
Necklace of irregular ivory beads decorated with brick and mustard threads, matte finish and small bronze spacer beads. Inspired by the pearls which constituted the "exchange currency" between Africa, Europe and the Americas from the colonial era, they were produced in Venice until the mid-20th century.
